Boast in Show is a comedy showdown where comedians battle with compliments instead of insults. Created by comedian Carl Carzana and produced by comedian and producer Dawn Williams, this one-of-a-kind show has taken the comedy scene by storm, earning the Chortle Award for Best Live Comedy Format in the South in both 2025 and 2026. Unlike traditional roast battles, Boast in Show flips the script, with challengers facing off using elaborate compliments, grand gestures, and creative “boasts” to celebrate their opponent. From heartfelt poems and original songs to extravagant gifts, contestants go to extreme lengths to outshine each other with kindness and win the hearts of the panel of expert judges. The only rule is that anything goes, apart from hurting each other’s feelings. The show has received praise from audiences, with many guaranteeing a good evening out and a night of belly laughs.
