Spellbound is Brighton’s longest-running and best-loved Alternative 80s night. DJs Simon Price and Jayney BlamBlam play Goth, Post-Punk, New Romantic, Alternative Rock, New Wave, Indie Rock, Synth and Ska classics from 1979-1989. The night features a mixed crowd of people who remember the 80s and those discovering the music for the first time. Expect a proper drinking and dancing session with smoke, snakebite, and Eighties visuals.
The Halloween special features Alt-80s monster tunes, Hallowe’en anthems, fiery cabaret, and retro horror video mash-ups. The Joy Division/New Order special pays tribute to the bands with a bespoke slideshow and their classic songs. The Christmas party brings festive vibes with added crackers, mince pies, and Xmas tunes. The New Year’s Eve party features the biggest party-friendly bangers in the Alternative 80s genre with party poppers and confetti cannons.
