Tigercub's music is inspired by a phrase that landed in Jamie Hall's imagination: “Nets to Catch the Wind.” This phrase resonated with Hall and sounded expansive, cinematic, and full of possibility. Their previous record, “The Perfume of Decay,” was a midnight confession, a gothic, heavy-metal record steeped in anxiety and noise. In contrast, “Nets To Catch The Wind” is the dawn that follows, a record set in the space between dreaming and waking. The band built whole worlds out of darkness, and this record is about learning to live in the light even when you know it will not last.
