WORSHIP (picture: St Saviour's Church)

St Saviour’s Church is open to the public for private prayer and daily worship. The Divine Office is said twice daily and a daily Mass is held each week-day morning. On Sundays, there is a Mass at 09.00am and Solemn Mass with music at 10.30am, as well as regular Evensong. The worship is live-streamed to the church's Facebook page and YouTube channel.

The Divine Office signifies a duty accomplished for God, comprising the recitation of certain prayers at fixed hours of the day or night. It does not include the Mass and other liturgical ceremonies.

Solemn Mass is a ceremonial service based on the Sarum Rite or the later Tridentine Mass.

Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament is a custom in the church, ordinarily an afternoon or evening devotion consisting of hymns, litanies, or canticles before the Blessed Sacrament, followed by the priest or deacon making the sign of the cross in silence over the kneeling congregation.
